Live Together, Live Alone
Something Michael Turk said has me thinking.
Blogs are about individuals. Whether Glenn Reynolds or Kevin Drum, you read their blog for them, because of what they uniquely offer.
But Twitter, the microblogging service, doesn’t seem so much to be about the individual, as about the mass of people you follow. Each specific person doesn’t seem quite as important as the patterns that the group form.
I’m not sure if this is right, but I’m throwing it out there.
