Jared Loughner and the Violence of Rhetoric
Let me get a couple things out straight off.
I do not like the over-the-top nature of much of contemporary conservative rhetoric.
I don’t like the violent tone of remarks like “Second Amendment remedies” and “Don’t retreat, reload.”
I don’t like the style and content of Fox News, which (for better or worse) is a big part of the conservative message...
